I hope to show a different perspective on these seasons by reviewing every episode from season 4 to 9a. However, by rewatching them now I can look at them more critically instead of some of the nostalgia-tinged glasses I might see them with.
As somebody who grew up with these later seasons (2005 and onwards) I feel like I have a unique view on them. However, these seasons can not just be brushed aside as all bad in fact, I think a lot of the material from these seasons is incredibly strong. Well, at least that can be said, for the first 3 seasons, after SpongeBob's first movie, the quality of the series undeniably decreased with the leaving of essential staff members and Stephen Hillenburg stepping down to a more passive role.
It's the quintessential perfect kids cartoon it mixes great visuals with some of the wittiest humor of it's kind and can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of age.
